Golden Globe Best Picture “Moonlight” was partially filmed at Bay Oaks

Bay Oaks is pleased to have worked with the producers of “Moonlight” when they were filming in Miami. The film has also earned awards from the New York Film Critics Circle and the Independent Film Award.

The grounds of the summer house were used for a scene captured below from the trailer.

We wish the producers best of luck at the Oscars!

Three cheers for our eldest statesman

Mr. Irving Mann has now celebrated both his 103rd and 104th birthday at Bay Oaks. Our resident blogger even managed to get the occasion chronicled in the Miami Herald. We love his wit and character, and look forward to celebrating his 105th with him and his family next year.

Pretty Nails van

Ms. Clotilde Wilson is the first client for the mobile nail salon parked in front of Bay Oaks by our London Taxi.

As featured in the Miami Herald, mobile nail salon, Pretty Nails 2 Go, had their maiden voyage to Bay Oaks last Monday. Manicurist Lorena Cuicas was very adept and attentive to our resident guests. We look forward to her return.

Ms Blake and Pretty Nails

Ms. Mary Alice Blake is a happy client. “It is an intriguing set up. Nice and clean, and different, very different.”
