A beautiful warm and sunny morning coaxed out the many exotic species of butterflies for our guided tour of Butterfly World in Coconut Creek. Our guide Kathy displays this Owl Butterfly from Central and South America as Ms. Meyer looks on.
As we rested in the shade, we were treated to a display of hundreds of ladybugs. Rather than use pesticides which can also kill butterflies, ladybugs are a natural way to get rid of garden pests.
After our guided tour, we enjoyed a leisurely lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers at the Mariposa Café while watching a sun storm pass by before we drove back to Bay Oaks.
