2009 starts the 62nd year since Bay Oaks was founded. Its mission: “to provide exceptional quality of care.”
A look around our beautiful spot reveals that in the 62 years that have passed since those words were first written, the mission is alive and well. Good news, and even better news is that the exceptional quality of care is really making a difference. The exceptional day-to-day care that Bay Oaks residents enjoy is keeps them remarkably well, even as a number of them are living with complex medical challenges. It’s a wonderful thing to see.
It’s also a wonderful thing to realize that a huge part of our success in providing exceptional quality of care, and life, to our residents comes because of the community support that has always been so important to our mission.
We want to start the new year right by offering a big “thank you” to all who have been a part of life at Bay Oaks over the years. Our mission has remained a success for more than a half a century because of the friends of Bay Oaks and the friends and family members of our residents.
One of our residents surprised us recently with a story about how she recalled coming to Bay Oaks as a younger person and volunteering. It was one of those “who’d have thought all these years later…?” kind of stories, and it got us wondering, “What other Bay Oaks stories are out there that we’ve never heard?”
This new year, we’d love to get back in touch with the people who’ve been such an important part of the life of Bay Oaks over the years; former volunteers, people who had friends or family here, anyone who’s had a connection but has since drifted off our radar. If you are one of these people, we would love to hear from you. Getting in touch is as easy as filling out the contact form below.
It’s always the season for catching up with valued friends and family, and there’s no time better than now to say many thanks to friends and family for all you have done for Bay Oaks over the years.
