Cauley Square Historic Village is a popular destination for afternoon excursions. Residents and friends enjoy the “Old Florida” feel of this historic Miami landmark, the unique character of the small shops and cafe, and the rich tropical landscaping throughout the property.
To get there, we took the scenic route down Bayshore Drive and Old Cutler Road. For several residents, it was like going back in time – they shared stories about old Coconut Grove and South Miami, Miami’s City Hall when it was the Pan American airport, and when we arrived, trips they have taken by train. (Cauley Square was originally a train station).
Here are a couple of pictures from our last trip:
The food was delicious!
It’s always a pleasure when family members can join us.
