Bay Oaks’ mothers and guests celebrated Mother’s Day with a tea party on Sunday. Residents enjoyed a selection of hot teas served in Bay Oaks’ finest china along with the Chef’s tea sandwiches and scones homemade by one of our beloved volunteer’s family members.
The room was decorated, as always, with fresh flowers, including roses, golden dew drops and gardenias from the garden.
Teas served included darjeeling, orange pekoe ceylon, english breakfast and earl gray. The scones were served with half a dozen different jams and savory selections included cucumber, spiced cheese, liverwurst (by special request) and egg salad tea sandwiches.
